Spring has sprung in Pirate Nation!

Hello Pirate Nation! Spring has officially sprung here at East Carolina University! Spring is an extremely thrilling time at ECU. Flowers are blooming, everyone starts to hang out on the Mall, and there are always prospective students touring our beautiful campus. Whether you are a current or prospective student, spring semester has countless opportunities everyone can enjoy!

  1. Talk a walk on the Greenway

The Greenway is definitely one of Greenville’s hidden treasures. The 9-mile Greenville Greenway allows you to spend time relaxing outdoors, whether that’s through walking, running, or biking by yourself or with friends or pups. Several entry points allow you to get on or off the greenway at your convenience and take you along the scenic Tar River, “The Grid” (the University neighborhood), the Greenville Dog Park, the ECU Athletics Campus, and also over bridges, various picnic areas, and scenic overlook spots.

  1. PirateFest

PirateFest is one of Greenville’s most popular festivals. PirateFest will take place this year in Uptown Greenville on April 8-9, 2022. The festival will take over eight city blocks. The festivities will kick off on Friday, April 8 with a free concert, food vendors, and a ton of costumed pirates. Then on Saturday, April 9 there will be fine arts for sale, live music, BMX, sword fighting, and much more. There will be plenty of activities for people of all ages.

  1. ECU Baseball at Clark-LeClair Stadium

ECU fans and students love to “catch” as many ECU Baseball games as they can in the spring. Games are filled with many fans enjoying the Spring weather and watching the Pirates kick some serious booty!

  1. SupDogs

Looking for a quick bite? Try sitting outside and ordering some delicious food from SupDogs! SupDogs has earned the title of “Best College Bar” (2019, 2020) by Barstool Sports in America and Business Insider has ranked SupDogs’ Hot Dog the 15th best in America! Grabbing lunch at SupDogs is definitely one of my personal favorite activities.

  1. Greenville Amphitheater

The amphitheater, which is located on the Greenville Greenway, is almost always holding activities from outdoor yoga, live music, and fun movies in the park!

There are tons of ways to visit campus this spring and get to know ECU more, including campus tours, academic days, and self-guided tours. Find out more!
