Pirates Aboard! Helpful Tips

ECU’s annual Pirates Abroad! Admitted Student Day is this Saturday, March 30, 2019. The event is a great opportunity to get to know campus, make friends, and learn tons of important information for incoming freshman. In order to make the most of your visit, you’ll want to be prepared! Below are a few tips and reminders to help.

Planning

To help schedule your day, download the Pirates Aboard! smartphone planning guide, available in the ECU Guides app. The planning guide includes the ability to personalize your schedule, view a campus map, and more. Prefer a hard copy or don’t have a smartphone? Don’t worry! There is also a printable PDF agenda you can download. Please note: there will be no printed agendas available at Pirates Aboard! Admitted Students Day

Parking

Designated parking for all Pirates Aboard! attendees will be located at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. The GPS address is 1 Ficklen Drive, Greenville, NC 27858. ECU Transit will provide shuttle bus transportation between the Gold Parking Lot and the Main Campus Student Center from 7:45am – 4:30 pm. There is no charge for parking or shuttle service.

Check-In

Don’t forget to check in! Check-in begins at 8am at the Main Campus Student Center. Everyone who checks in will be entered to win an assortment of great prizes. Check-in will be followed by a Welcome session to kick off your day, located upstairs in the Ballroom.

Lunch

We highly recommend pre-purchasing your meal tickets online to save time! If you pre-purchased your meal ticket online, please bring your printed receipt from the website as proof of purchase. Online tickets will be available for purchase until 7:00am Saturday. You may also pay at the door at our two dining halls. Other dining options are available on campus at the Student Center and Wright Plaza.

Pro Tip: Todd Dining Hall on College Hill is usually less crowded! Take the shuttle to College Hill for lunch and to tour the College Hill residence halls. Shuttle transportation to College Hill will begin at 10:45am and will run from the Student Center to Todd Dining Hall.

Be Prepared

We expect campus to be buzzing with activity on Saturday. Spend some time looking over the schedule of events and planning your personal agenda before your arrival. There are a lot of options so planning ahead will allow you to get the most out of your day. We encourage you to wear your walking shoes, so you can enjoy exploring campus!
