Making the Most of Pirates Aboard!
East Carolina University is expecting more than 5,000 guests this Saturday, March 24, for Pirates Aboard! Admitted Student Day. Below are a few tips and reminders to help you plan your visit to ECU.
Planning Tools
To help you plan your day, download the Pirates Aboard! smartphone planning guide, available in the ECU Guides app (free for both iOS and Android). The planning guide includes the ability to personalize your schedule, view a campus map, and more. Prefer a paper copy instead? No problem. We also offer a PDF agenda that you can download and print. Please note: there will be no printed agendas available at Pirates Aboard! Admitted Student Day.
Parking
All Pirates Aboard! attendees are to park in the Gold Parking Lot, located next to Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. The address is 1 Ficklen Drive, Greenville, NC 27858. ECU Transit will provide shuttle bus transportation between the Gold Parking Lot and Christenbury Gymnasium on Main Campus throughout the day. There is no charge for parking or shuttle service.
Lunch
If you pre-purchased your meal ticket online, please bring your printed receipt from the website as proof of purchase. Meal tickets may still be purchased online through 7:00 a.m. on Saturday. You may also pay at the door at our two dining halls. Other campus dining options will be available as well. Todd Dining Hall on College Hill is typically less crowded!
Plan Your Day & Wear Comfortable Shoes
We expect campus to be buzzing with activity on Saturday. Spend some time looking over the schedule of events and planning your personal agenda before your arrival. There are a lot of options so planning ahead will allow you to get the most out of your day with us. We encourage you to wear your walking shoes so that you’ll be prepared to explore campus.
Want another way to get around? Check out LimeBike. You’ll find LimeBikes located around campus. Just pay for your ride via the smartphone app, and drop the bike off at any bike rack when you’re done.

Cheer on the Pirates
After you’ve enjoyed all that Pirates Aboard! has to offer, stop by Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium to catch the Purple/Gold Spring football game and get a glimpse of the excitement of game day. The game is free (no ticket required) and begins at 1:00 p.m.

Greenville is full of exciting things to do and delicious places to eat. After your day of exploring ECU’s campus make your way to Uptown Greenville where you will find local shops and restaurants unlike any other!
