Rob Olewine, Assistant Director of Campus Visits

Robert "Rob" Olewine, Campus Visits Tours, at Joyner Library’s Sonic Gates olewiner17@ecu.edu (252) 737-4349

Rob is a graduate of ECU’s College of Allied Health Sciences and holds a master’s degree in higher education. He first came to ECU for the nursing program, and like many students, he discovered the vast array of other degree options and changed his major to Rehabilitation Studies.

Rob can also speak to the on-campus service clubs like Rotaract and the Greek Life experience at ECU — he was a Phi Gamma Delta. While studying here he worked as a graduate assistant for orientation and worked with First Year Programs in the Office of Student Transitions.

As a first-generation student from Newport, NC, Rob has a passion for helping students overcome barriers in their journey to college. His experience in developing orientation programming makes him an excellent guide to your university visit.

Rob feels Pirate Pride every day and welcomes that “home away from home” feeling that ECU gives you. He can usually be found in the Student Center at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. offering assistance with campus tours and fielding questions. When he’s not guiding prospective students, you’ll find Rob spending time with family and friends, walking the greenway with his dog Bailey, playing basketball, or attending ECU sporting events.
