Cathy Knudson, Assistant Director of International Recruitment
Cathy was once an international student herself, having completed her master’s degree at the University of Nottingham in England. She believes international education develops strengths in communication, analytical skills, empathy, flexibility and resilience. She believes this experience is so impactful, she was drawn to work with international students looking to study in the US. She joined ECU’s Office of Global Affairs in 2017 to lead international student recruitment and admissions. The international admissions team strives to make the application, admission, and student visa processes as clear and easy to navigate as possible through direct, concise and accessible communication of options, requirements, and actionable steps.
The Office of Global Affairs also manages student visas, arriving into the US, new international student orientation, international student advising during your time at ECU, student services such as career preparation, and your options in applying for jobs after graduation.
