Emily Schultz, Associate Director for Freshmen Recruitment

Emily bleeds Purple and Gold! She graduated from ECU with bachelor’s degrees in both political science and communication and earned her Master of Public Administration degree in 2018. Emily is from Dover, Delaware, but chose to attend ECU because of the academic programs and school spirit.

She has been with ECU Admissions for five years and found her passion for higher education while working with first-year students as an orientation assistant.

Her favorite things about ECU are the Pirate Pride and the endless opportunities to be involved on campus. One favorite memory was being in Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium when the football team won 70-41 against UNC (and the sunset was purple and gold).

Outside her current position as Associate Director for Freshmen Recruitment, Emily enjoys finding new books to read, watching ice hockey (go Flyers), traveling and cheering on the Pirates!
